Hello, my name is Derek Powe and I created this site in the hopes of spreading knowledge of basic to intermediate financial literacy. In my travels and conversations I started to realize that personal finances have started going the way of doctor's visits (everyone says they're healthy but aren't going to the doctor and people think their finances are under control but don't have a real budget). When I realized this I wanted to create a platform to simplify some of these concepts and to put a light on tools and tips that many are using to climb out of financial despair. 

Only time will tell if I'm doing just that, so if anyone wants to know any specifics feel free to suggest a topic.
